When you are dying
Talk about what is happening, what you are afraid to ask, and how you want to spend the time you have.
FOR YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE
Talk with someone who understands dying and serious illness, has time to listen, and can help you think about what comes next.
I’m Johanna. My background in nursing, hospice care and teaching helps me make space for the questions and feelings that are hard to share. For yourself, or someone you love.

A SPACE FOR WHAT YOU’RE CARRYING
You might be protecting your family from how worried you are. Or leaving appointments with questions you didn’t manage to ask. Or wondering whether it’s okay to feel the way you do.
You don’t need a diagnosis, a plan, or a neatly formed question to begin.
What a conversation can look like ↗Talk about what is happening, what you are afraid to ask, and how you want to spend the time you have.
Talk about what feels unfamiliar, what you’re afraid to ask and how you want to be there for them.
Sadness, anger, relief, numbness, or several feelings at once. There is room to talk without having to make your experience tidy.
HOW IT WORKS
Start with a free 15-minute introduction. Meet Johanna, briefly say what brought you here and ask how the conversations work.
If it feels right, book a 50-minute conversation. We can untangle questions, prepare words for a difficult conversation, or simply make room to talk.
One conversation is welcome. At the end, you can reflect on what was useful and decide whether another would help. There’s no programme to commit to.

FROM SOMEWHERE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE
Sessions are private online video conversations in English or Swedish. You don’t need to prepare a presentation of your life. A quiet place and a way to connect are enough.
Personal support and information, informed by nursing experience. These conversations do not provide diagnosis, treatment or psychotherapy, and do not replace your healthcare team.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS
“She offered some much-needed perspective on the grieving process, as well as gently practical advice.”
“But you helped me see that my feelings were completely normal, and I was allowed to feel what I felt”
“The few talks we had were incredibly helpful and gave me a lot of additional security.”
Excerpts from personal accounts of Johanna’s support. Each person’s experience is different.
MEET JOHANNA

“The most important thing is that we talk about it.”
My work has taken me through hospice and palliative care, district nursing, clinical research and university nursing education. I’ve sat with people and families through moments when everything felt uncertain.
I bring that experience to conversations with people facing serious illness, dying and grief. There is space for practical questions and difficult feelings, and for humour when it comes naturally.
I’m Swedish, based in Germany, and also an artist with training in service design. Individual conversations are offered in English and Swedish.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING
Yes. These conversations are for people facing illness themselves, and for those supporting someone they love.
You can start there. You don’t need the right words or a clear goal. The introduction gives you a chance to meet and ask questions before deciding on a longer session.
You don’t have to perform a particular emotion. Tears, silence and complicated feelings can all be part of a conversation.
No. Johanna draws on her nursing background to offer personal support and information. She does not diagnose, prescribe, change treatment or provide psychotherapy through these conversations. Medical questions and decisions belong with your treating team.
